2017 Calendars from Free Spirit Sanctuary

From FreeSpiritSanctuary.ca – “Free Spirit Sanctuary provides a lifelong home to domestic and wild horses, donkeys and mules rescued from abuse, neglect or slaughter. ” Available until October 30th, these 12 month calendars are only $25 and feature the residents of Free Spirit. LASSI FUNDRAISER AT VEG-IN YYC

Buy a lassi, do some good! Until December 31st, buy a lassi from Veg-in YYC Cafe and $1.00 will go directly to The Alice Sanctuary. The lassis are available in a variety of flavours and two different vegan yogurt options! (Coconut or Soy). So many tasty flavours, but I think the peach with coconut yogurt is my favourite! candlelight vigil to honour the earthlings

Organized by VegFest Calgary, a candlelight vigil is being held at Tompkins Park on Friday, October 21st, at 7:30pm “The vigil is meant to honour not only the victims of the Fearman’s accident, but to highlight the enormity of suffering that occurs through the meat and related industries.”
