lots of ways to help the animals

YYC has a few local animal sanctuaries, and they’re all in the middle of raising funds to help their residents stay fed and warm through the winter. While we’ve featured almost all of these previously, it never hurts to do a recap, especially when we’re talking fundraisers, amirite? Click the links below to go directly to each campaign page. And don’t forget, if fundraisers aren’t your thing you can always donate directly to a sanctuary; see their official websites for more information.

#2, 1145 Kensington Crescent, NW
Tuesday, November 1st ; 7:30PM

Eating You Alive is a new documentary highlighting the transformational benefits of adopting a whole food, plant-based lifestyle. To celebrate the release, VegFest Calgary is hosting a screening at Calgary’s own Raw Eatery & Market! $20 will get you free popcorn, door prize entry, and a LIVE skype Q&A with the producers after the show, but tickets are already over 50% sold! If you want to go, you’ll need to act quickly; check out the trailer below, and then run over to their [EventBrite event] page to grab your ticket!

That’s it for this week. I’ll have a fresh installment for you next Wednesday.  And no, that’s not a typo; starting November 2nd, I’ll be releasing these weekly installments on Wednesdays. I hope you have an excellent week, and I’ll see you back here on Wednesday, November 2nd.

I do my best to scour the web looking for items of interest to vegans in YYC, but I don’t always catch it all. So if you’re hosting an event, launching a new vegan business, option, or product, or you know about something that should be on this list, please send it to info@veganinyyc.ca
